Roll dice and assign the totals in order to your two Scores:

Physical size, speed, power, flexibility, and control.

13+ : add score - 12 to max HP.
Roll 3d6
Mental fortitude, quickness, criticality, unorthodoxy, and extensibility.

13+ : sensitive.
Special
Effectiveness in artifice, subtlety, vocation, and charm.

Skill lies at the conjunction of Body & Mind.
Skill = (Body + Mind)/2 (round up)
Skill Calculation Examples

  • 8 Body + 8 Mind = 16 / 2 = 8 Skill
  • 11 Body + 9 Mind = 20 / 2 = 10 Skill
  • 6 Body + 17 Mind = 23 / 2 = 12 Skill

Hit Dice & Hit Protection

The Hit Die (HD) is 1d6. Most PCs start with 1HD.

Roll Hit Dice (HD) to determine starting HP.

Hit Protection represents your ability to avoid getting hurt in combat. It is reduced by damage in combat.

Psychic Sensitivity

Sensitivity is the basic ability to sense psychic energies, and be sensed in return.

Background

Choose or roll 1d8 and consult the corresponding Background to see what your life has been up to this point.

1 Duster All the humans born on Dust since time immemorial, minus the dead ones.
2 Solar Sailor A former member of the Cooperationist navy, marooned.
3 Trucker-Trader The great interstellar highway dumped you off here.
4 Megacorp Agent Sent from far beyond the void to observe & report, if not seize and/or kill, anything of value to the company.
5 Merfolk Remnant Descendant of those who altered DNA to live in harmony on Dust, but couldn't predict its mutations.
6 Dust Devil Mind A conscious thought with control over a small field of gravity. Immaterial but for what they carry.
7 Arachnid Outcast Ancient clanlords of Dust and masters of the deep desert. Eight-legged & eight-eyed.
8 Stranded Earthling Earth was home, centuries ago. Now it is said to be an overgrown ruin world.
